Warning: Long Post!! May Events

CHARLESTON TRIP
The first weekend in May we headed to Charleston for Mick and Melissa Maughon's wedding. It was a gorgeous wedding and one of the sweetest I have been to. We stayed with Grant's cousin Kim and her fam and went to the the beach. It was such a relaxing weekend and we can't wait to go back!

The only picture I got of the happy couple

ALWAYS LAUGHING!!!

I love to pull my daddy's hair

Loving the sand...she did put a few handfuls of sand in her mouth and she didn't love that too much :)

BROOKE'S BABY DEDICATION
We dedicated Brooke to the Church on Mother's Day. It was the best Mother's Day anyone could have. With all the flowers and family and of course my baby girl, it couldn't have been a better day! Lynn and James were here and Leigh, John and the boys came up from ATL. Brooke was sooo good during the service-she didn't make a peep except during the songs when she was trying to sing along and was clapping. After the service we had a wonderful lunch at Jason's Steakhouse (which is fabulous by the way) and then hung out for the rest of the day. I am sooo blessed and I LOVE BEING A MOM!

Definitely clapping with the music

Brooke LOVES her cousins and theyADORE her!!!

Pulling up in her crib

Watching Curious George

I LOVE ELMO! GIVE ME ELMO!

Still trying to crawl...Just last week, she developed a "modified crawl" of sorts...she kind of slides on her belly across the room to grab her toys.

I LOVE it when she points...and she points at everything!

She loves her baby doll, but definitely likes to sling her around (see below)

Brookie Brooke

I will post more pics soon, but had to post these randoms...

I think Brooke has my skin...she already has a tan and every time we go out in the sun, I put 50 spf on her, repeatedly

You can see her teeth really good in this one...we're still for the next ones to appear any day now

"Wahwahwahwahwah" is what she was saying :) The massive wooden toy is one of her new favs... And yes, I am aware that this is the biggest white bow ever made!!

Downtown Greenville, Artisphere festival

Hanging out on a lazy Sunday on our deck (yes, she's on the table, but we were supervising :)

She loves her toothbrush, especially the wrong end :)

Where has April gone?

Here are a few highlights from the month of April!

We had Easter Dinner at our home and had our friends, the McClure's, over to celebrate. We had a great dinner...roasted lamb, garlic mashed potatoes, dill carrots, rolls and a wonderful chocolate chess pie! Sweet Connor is their baby boy who is exactly 1 month younger than Brooke. We tried to get some good pictures of the two of them, but we couldn't get both to look at the camera at the same time.
First they held hands...

Then, Connor went for her face, but she wasn't having it!

Some of our best friends from Med School, Rhett and Steph Mays and their little boy Henry, recently came for a weekend visit. We had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed their company so much! We made blueberry pancakes both mornings and sipped on coffee while the kids played. Then, I bought a plastic baby pool and we let the kiddos play in the water for a while. They loved it!!! We had steaks on Saturday night and then after the kiddos went to bed, we watched P.S. I love You. This movie is awesome, but make sure to get a whole kleenex box for yourself!! It is a total chick-flick and Steph and I cried throughout the whole movie while Grant and Rhett joked about passing around lexapro since it was a little depressing (ok, very depressing)! Nonetheless, ladies, if you haven't seen it yet, you should...it ranks up there with Steel Magnolias!
Henry is 16 months old and so adorable!!

Brooke loved Henry!! I think it was b/c he gave her hugs and kisses so much!

Brooke is attempting to crawl, only she goes in the wrong direction...backwards!! Somehow she ended up almost under the table! Very impressive!

Wedding Shower for Melissa at our house...of course we took a group pic after half of the guests left, but at least we got a picture! Congratulations, Melissa!!!

More Spring Pics and Some from Last 2 Months

Waving like such a big girl!!

Love her legs!!

Thank you, Gigi, for coming to visit us and for keeping Brooke for the week!!!

Graham letting Brooke borrow his thumb since hers was unavailable

Such a big boy and girl, waving!!

Gotta love Puffs...especially when they stick around for the whole meal!

Brooksie has 2 "toofs" They broke through when she was 5 months and now they very visible, fully grown in (or out?)...but she won't let ANYONE look at them! This was the best picture I could get b/c as soon as I pull the camera out to get a picture of them, she sticks her tongue out!

Such a big girl sitting up at 5 months!

I want to eat my bear's paw...ummmmm tasty!

I love my pink Columbia fleece, Aunt Am! Thank you!!

Snow the first of March... go figure

Sneak Peak-Spring Pics

I promise I will post more soon, but here are a few I HAD to post tonight.

Yes, Brooke is definitely waving while she snuggles up next to her man, Graham :)

JAMAICA MON!!

Grant and I recently took a vacation back to Couples Negril in Negril, Jamaica. We went last Christmas for the first time and realized it was HEAVEN ON EARTH, so we decided to go back again and spend a week...and we hope to go back every year from now on!! And no, Brooke did not come with us (hence the name 'Couples Negril') and surprisingly, we did very well...didn't call once and only checked email a handful of times. Brooke got more than enough attention staying in Hot Springs with her Gigi and Paco, though. Most of my and Grant's fam got to visit her and from what her Gigi and Paco tell us, she ate up the attention!!!
Enjoy the pics!!

The sunsets in Negril are famous...as you can tell

We met these two couples at the resort; In the back, Tom and Andrea from Kansas City and Jim and Erin from Jonesboro, AR!! (We had many mutual friends from ASU and Cabot...small world)

Return Couples Dinner...Lobster ummmmmm!!

I swear I did not volunteer to do the limbo on stage...the hotel entertainment staff were very pushy :) BTW, Grant was NOT supposed to get a picture of this
